The Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education distinguished itself by winning 01 First Prize, 01 Second Prize, and 06 Encouragement Prizes at the 25th Euréka Scientific Research Awards for Students in 2023.
On the morning of November 26th, the closing ceremony and award presentation for the 25th Euréka Scientific Research Awards for Students took place at the Ho Chi Minh City National University.
In each competition category, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize valued at 10 million VND/prize and a Commendation Certificate from the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; 1 Second Prize valued at 5 million VND/prize and a Commendation Certificate from the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union; 1 Third Prize valued at 3 million VND/prize and a Commendation Certificate from the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union. Encouragement Prizes were valued at 1 million VND/prize and accompanied by a Commendation Certificate from the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union. Financial support will be provided for some applied topics to continue research, development, commercialization, and application transfer.
Addressing the closing ceremony and award presentation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Hai Quan - Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University, remarked: "In 2023, with the participation of 1509 topics from 134 Universities, Colleges, and Institutes, the Euréka Awards has become one of the largest scientific events for students in Vietnam. This not only reflects the increasing interest of young people in science but also underscores society's wise investment and high expectations for the future generation."
This year's Final Round saw 178 topics from 81 universities, colleges, and institutes nationwide. In this round, contestants presented their research findings and fielded counter-questions before the scientific council in their respective competition domains. HCMUTE entered 08 topics into the Final Round, spanning diverse fields, and impressively secured 01 First Prize, 01 Second Prize, and 06 Encouragement Prizes.
