On the morning of December 27, 2023, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) and Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining comprehensive cooperation. The agreement covers internships, scholarships, and collaborative training activities at Coteccons Office Building (232 Dien Bien Phu Street, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City). It involves sponsorship of student scholarships and support for internship programs and recruitment activities.
Present at the signing ceremony from HCMUTE were Associate Professor Dr. Le Hieu Giang - Rector of the university, Dr. Tran Vu Tu - Vice Dean of the Construction Department, Associate Professor Dr. Le Minh Nhut - Vice Dean of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Associate Professor Dr. Le My Ha - Vice Dean of the Electrical-Electronic Department, Master Le Phan Nhat Hang - Deputy Head of the Enterprise Relations Office, Dr. Phan Thanh Chien - Head of MEP Department, Dr. Architect Nguyen Van Hoan - Vice Head of the Architecture Department and Head of Interior Architecture, Construction Department, and Dr. Tran Quang Tho - Director of General Electric Training Center, Electrical-Electronic Department.
Representing Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company were Mr. Pham Quan Luc - Deputy General Director, Mr. Tran Ngoc Hai - CEO, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Lam - Technical and Compliance Director, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tien - Director of Electromechanical Division, Coteccons - Former Student, Ms. Nguyen Trinh Thuy Trang - Internal Affairs Director, Ms. Tran Thi Lieu Vinh - Administrative and Sustainable Development Director, and representatives from the administrative offices of Coteccons Group.
During the signing ceremony, both parties discussed various important cooperation matters such as expanding and enhancing comprehensive cooperation, supporting graduating students with internship projects amounting to 240 million VND over 2 months, and collaborating with HCMUTE in sustainable training programs. Coteccons Group also sponsored scholarships worth 5 million VND each for 15 students from the Construction Department (5 scholarships), Electrical-Electronic Department (5 scholarships), and Mechanical Engineering Department (5 scholarships). These initial supports from Coteccons aim to bolster material and moral support for HCMUTE students, enabling them to confidently excel in their studies.
In December 2023, students from the Construction and Mechanical Engineering Departments actively supported Coteccons in completing the Tet Construction Program at Vinhome project in Thu Duc City (former District 9). This close collaboration between students and Coteccons' team of experts and engineers created a positive working environment, facilitating flexible application and transfer of knowledge. Students had the opportunity to develop practical skills related to construction processes, quality control, project management, maintenance, and applying theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
