With an exemplary academic record and fervent engagement in the activities of the Faculty and University's Student Union, Nguyen Bui Anh Duy, a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE), stood out by earning the title of "Excellent Student" at the central level for the 2022-2023 academic year, along with the "January Star" award in 2023.

The Central Committee of the Vietnamese Student Association recently announced awards for 167 individuals achieving the title of "Excellent Student" at the central level for the 2022-2023 academic year, and 96 individuals receiving the "January Star" award for 2023. Notably, HCMUTE boasted one exceptional student who excelled in both categories. This outstanding student is Nguyen Bui Anh Duy, a member of the Materials Technology Engineering Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences. Anh Duy previously held positions as a member of the School's Executive Committee and Secretary of the Faculty's Youth Union.

The titles "Excellent Student" at the central level and the "January Star" award, bestowed by the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnamese Student Association, are esteemed accolades, coveted by many. The "Excellent Student" title is conferred based on five criteria: Good Morals, Academic Excellence, Physical Fitness, Volunteering, and Social Integration. Meanwhile, the "January Star" award serves as a distinguished recognition by the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnamese Student Association, honoring students who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in their academic pursuits and extracurricular activities.

- Gold and Silver Medals in the Design, Manufacturing, and Application Competition in 2022 and 2023.
