Following the successful visit of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) delegation to Mahasarakham University - Thailand (MSU) in July 2023, on April 4, 2024, the leaders of Mahasarakham University visited HCMUTE and signed a Memorandom of Understanding (MOU) of cooperation.

Mahasarakham University, located in the northeast of Thailand, is known for its large campus (over 60 hectares) and offers nearly 180 educational programs ranging from undergraduate to doctoral levels in fields like science, technology, social sciences and humanities, and medicine.
The delegation consisted of Associate Professor Prayook Srivilai, President of MSU, along with Associate Professors Jindaporn Jamradloedluk and Anyarat Nattheeraphong, leaders from the Faculty of Education at MSU.
Welcoming the delegation, Associate Professor Le Hieu Giang - Acting President of HCMUTE, expressed gratitude for MSU's support over the past two years.
During the meeting, both parties signed the MOU, laying the groundwork for stronger collaboration in the future, particularly focusing on activities such as student exchange, faculty exchange, scientific research, and cultural programs.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Dang Tan Tin - Dean of Faculty of Foreign Languages , Mr. Pham Bach Duong - Head of International Affairs Office, Dr. Tran Quang Tri - Deputy Head of International Affairs Office, along with lecturers and students who participated in the Cultural Summer Camps at MSU.

Since 2022, MSU has sponsored over 20 opportunities for participation in cultural exchange summer camps, providing HCMUTE FFL’s students with life skills through programs like MSU Case Camp and MSU INDIE Camp. Participating students have gained valuable living and learning experiences with local and international friends in the host university.

After the signing ceremony, the delegation visited classrooms and workshops at HCMUTE. Associate Professor Prayook Srivilai - President of MSU, showed particular interest not only in the Faculty of Foreign Languages but also in the Faculty of Vehicle and Energy Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at HCMUTE.

The signing ceremony marked a milestone in the collaboration between the two universities. It is hoped that both parties will take further and firmer steps in the future, contributing to the advancement of educational quality and cultural development between the two institutions.
