On the morning of February 24, 2024, the Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) organized the kickoff event for Youth Month 2024 under the theme "HCMUTE Youth Volunteers for Community Life."
HCMUTE officially initiated Youth Month 2024
Starting on February 24 and spanning until the end of March, Youth Month 2024 unfolded with a myriad of activities and initiatives, rallying young people to play a pioneering role in shaping a better community.
Among the attendees were Comrade Pham Thi Thao Linh - Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Long Giang - Member of the Party Committee's Standing Committee and Head of the Party Inspection Committee of the University, Comrade Le Xuan Thanh - Member of the Executive Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Secretary of the School Union, and Deputy Head of the Communication Department, Comrade Pham Ngoc Quy - Member of the Executive Committee of the Student Union of Ho Chi Minh City, Member of the School Union Standing Committee, and President of the Student Union.
In his address, Comrade Le Xuan Than underscored the historical significance of the Youth Month, which, over 20 years since its inception in 2004, has become a pivotal event for Vietnamese youth, leaving an indelible mark on the volunteer youth movement.
Youth Month provides a platform not only for personal growth and valuable experiences but also for demonstrating the proactive and resilient nature of today's youth, ready to tackle pressing societal issues and spread positive energy throughout communities, including remote areas and marginalized regions.

Comrade Le Xuan Than, in his capacity as a member of the Executive Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Secretary of the School Union, and Deputy Head of the Communication Department, outlined the ambitious agenda set forth by the School Union for Youth Month 2024, including the operation of specialized teams aimed at fostering academic, creative, and scientific pursuits among members, environmental awareness initiatives for school students, and support programs for orphaned children.
Additionally, the School Union established ten targets for Youth Month 2024, encompassing activities to promote youth engagement, historical education tours, and efforts to enhance knowledge dissemination on party resolutions, policies, and laws among Union members and youth.
In alignment with the "Proud of the country's landscapes" campaign, the School Youth Union initiated a flagship project involving the creation of 1,000 maps of Vietnam, with plans to distribute these symbolic representations to various locales across the nation.
Furthermore, HCMUTE organized seminars and inaugurated support offices to address post-Tet health and psychological counseling needs, demonstrating its commitment to student well-being and academic success.
The kickoff event for Youth Month 2024 at HCMUTE exemplified the institution's dedication to nurturing proactive, socially-conscious youth who are poised to make meaningful contributions to their communities and beyond.
