On the morning of September 20, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) continued to strengthen its business connections by signing cooperation agreements and receiving sponsorships from two prominent companies: Magma Giessereitechnologie GmbH and Long Vu Trading & Service Co., Ltd.. These partnerships not only reinforce the university’s collaboration with industry but also provide opportunities for students and faculty to access cutting-edge technologies, enhancing the quality of education, research, and training.
The signing ceremony at HCMUTE was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang – Acting President of the university, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Nguyen Luan Vu – Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Thanh Trung –Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, MSc. Pham Huu Thai – Head of the Enterprises Relation Office, and MA. Le Phan Nhat Hang – Deputy Head of the Enterprises Relation Office , alongside faculty members from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Corporate Relations.
Representatives from the partner companies included Mr. Jan Eilers – General Manager of MAGMA Asia-Pacific, Mr. Duong Duy Thang – Head of MAGMASOFT Software Sales at Rieckermann Vietnam, and Mr. Nguyen Huynh Thy Khoa – Director of Long Vu Trading & Service Co., Ltd.
During the ceremony, Magma Giessereitechnologie GmbH presented the university with a license to use MAGMASOFT, a state-of-the-art tool for simulating and optimizing metal casting processes. This software will greatly support students in modeling, calculations, and refining design skills throughout their studies and research.

In addition, Long Vu Trading & Service Co., Ltd. generously donated a server valued at VND 700 million to enhance the university’s data infrastructure, supporting both teaching and research activities.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang expressed his hope for continued collaboration and growth between the university and its industry partners. He emphasized that these contributions from businesses are instrumental in helping students gain access to advanced technologies, improving the quality of education, and contributing to the sustainable development of the university.
