On September 18, 2024, at the auditorium of Hong Bang International University, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City held a Summary Conference on Youth Union and Youth Movements, as well as Student Association and Student Movements for the 2023-2024 academic year in the education sector. The conference was attended by Youth Union and Student Association representatives across the city, marking a year of dynamic and meaningful activities.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, the Youth Union and Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) implemented numerous innovative and impactful programs. Through the creativity and energy of students, many youth projects, as well as cultural, sports, and volunteer activities, were organized, bringing significant and proud achievements. At the conference, HCMUTE's Youth Union and Student Association were recognized with prestigious awards, including:

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of HCMUTE was honored with the title of “Outstanding Unit Leading Cluster 2” for its exceptional work in the Youth Union and youth movements in the education sector under the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union. This marked the sixth consecutive year that HCMUTE’s Youth Union has led the emulation cluster.

The Vietnam Student Association of HCMUTE was also awarded the title of “Outstanding Unit Leading Cluster 1” for its exemplary work in the Student Association and student movements in universities, colleges, and vocational schools across Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition, two remarkable youth projects from HCMUTE were recognized, including:

The “For the Children of Ho Chi Minh City” software, developed by students to support orphans affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The project “Crossing Mountains and Forests to Bring Water to the People” in Xuan Quang 1 commune, Dong Xuan district, Phu Yen province. Spanning 8.57 km with a total investment of 1.1 billion VND, this project provided clean water to local residents, exemplifying the pioneering and compassionate spirit of HCMUTE students.

At the conference, Mr. Le Xuan Than, Secretary of the HCMUTE Youth Union, also delivered a presentation titled “Enhancing the Quality of Selection and Implementation of Youth Projects.” His report shared the process of carrying out youth projects, the challenges encountered, and valuable lessons learned from the two impactful projects recently completed.



With these remarkable achievements, the Youth Union and Student Association of HCMUTE continue to affirm their leading position in the Youth Union and Student Association movements in Ho Chi Minh City. These successes serve as a significant motivation for the youth of HCMUTE to continue their creativity and dedication to the community in the coming academic years.
