On the afternoon of September 4, 2024, at Meeting Room 1, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Quang Ngai Province visited Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) to discuss cooperation in organizing science and technology competitions in Quang Ngai Province.

Welcoming the delegation, HCMUTE representatives included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Acting Rector of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang An Quoc, Head of the Department of Science and Technology; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Van Phong, Deputy Head of the Department of Science and Technology; and MSc. Le Xuan Than, Secretary of the Youth Union and Deputy Head of the Communication Department.

The delegation from the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Quang Ngai Province was led by Mr. Le Quang Thich, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Party Union, and Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Quang Ngai Province, along with Ms. Bui Thi Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Union, and other members.

During the visit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang remarked, “Many students, alumni, and staff members of the university come from Quang Ngai Province. This serves as a bridge connecting the university with the province. The university’s leadership strongly supports the science and technology competitions organized by the Union and is fully committed to providing the utmost support to ensure the success of these events.”

Mr. Le Quang Thich shared during the visit, “The second Quang Ngai Robot Innovation Contest in 2024 built upon the success of the inaugural competition in 2023. This event, jointly organized by the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Quang Ngai Province and HCMUTE, attracted 53 teams with over 200 students from 18 high schools across the province. Notably, the number of students from mountainous areas participating increased, and they achieved many high prizes in the competition.”

The meeting took place in an open, friendly, and cooperative atmosphere. Both parties agreed to further strengthen collaboration and support in specialized fields, jointly organizing science and technology events to enhance the quality of education and training in Quang Ngai Province. Additionally, they confirmed plans to continue collaborating on the third Quang Ngai Robot Innovation Contest, scheduled for April 2025.
