On the morning of November 5th, 2020, at the Hall of Block A, HCM University of Technology and Education, held the summary conference of the 2019-2020 school year and implemented key directions and missions in the school year of 2020-2021.
Implementing the resolution of the congress of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education for the sixteenth time of the term of 2020 - 2025 and implementing the program of the school year of 2020-2021 as well as summarizing and evaluating the results achieved in the past school year. Simultaneously, specifying the shortcomings, limitations, difficulties that needed to be overcome in the next school year. Moreover, discussing and proposing specific solutions to implement the tasks in the upcoming year. The conference was held with the participation of school leaders, leaders of units and representatives of mass organizations. The conference also had the presence of Mr. Vo Quang Hue - Deputy General Director of Vingroup, a member of the School Council.

Delivering the opening speech at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Van Dung - President of the university emphasized the achievements of HCMC University of Technology and Education gained in the school year of 2019 - 2020 was thanks to the solidarity, efforts and collective intelligence of the University's staffs, faculties and students. In addition, he presented the summary report of the 2018-2019 school year and key tasks for the 2019-2020 school year. The conference focused on discussing and contributing ideas on plans, programs, tasks and operational solutions in the new school year in order to build and improve the image and quality of activities of HCMC University of Technology and Education.

School leaders awarded the "Emulation Soldiers" in the school year of 2019-2020
In the implementation of directions and missions for the 2020-2021 school year, the Quality Assurance Department introduced the strategic goals of the school year of 2020-2021 to provide an overview of the major tasks to be performed in the new school year. In addition, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center presented "Innovative Entrepreneurship" which also outlined the achievements that the school achieved, limitations that needed to overcome and measures to achieve the theme of the school year: "Creativity and Entrepreneurship".

The Training Department presented the dissertation on "Digital Transformation in Higher Education: A Digital University Model at HCMUTE". It brought new perspectives on digital transformation in schools, the role and importance of individuals and units in that conversion journey. In general, the opinions at the Conference focused on improving professional capacity, contributing ideas on directions and key tasks for the academic year of 2020-2021, proposing solutions to improve contents and operational methods, building an increasingly developing school with the aim of becoming a school leading in innovation and being a key university of our country.
In the past year, HCMC University of Technology and Education Ho Chi Minh City recognized and honored the positive contributions of 88 excellent individuals achieving the title of "Emulation Soldier" at the Department level with outstanding and effective initiatives in the year of 2019-2020. The ceremony was also an opportunity for the school to honor individuals with outstanding initiatives that contributed to the development of the school over the past year.
