In order to achieve the quality of training targets in 2019-2020 and mobilize the social resources to support good students with disadvantaged circumstances at the same time, on June 26, 2020, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering cooperated with Thanh Thong Manufacturing Co., Ltd. opened the Woodworking Machine Training Center as well as awarded scholarships to students of Wood Industry.

On the morning of June 26, 2020, at the Wood Workshop - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering - University of Technology and Education of Ho Chi Minh City, there was a signing ceremony of cooperation with Thanh Thong Co., Ltd. and the opening of the training center of woodworking machines. 

The school was pleased to welcome the attendance of Mr. Do Sy Nga - Director of Thanh Thong Trading Co., Ltd. - Alumni of the school, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Van Dung – The President of the school, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truong Thinh - Dean of Mechanical Engineering Department, PhD. Quach Van Thien - Deputy Dean of Mechanical Engineering Department, MSc. Nguyen Phuong Thuy - Director of Student Services Center, MSc. Ngo Phan Nhat Hang - Deputy Head of Administrative Organization Department with all students of Wood Industry.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Van Dung – The President of the school was very grateful to the great support of Thanh Thong Co., Ltd. for the school; at the same time, he also wished for Thanh Thong Company and the school to have more cooperation opportunities to further develop the Wood Industry in the future. 

Responding to the expectations of Mr. Do Van Dung - The President of the school, Mr. Do Sy Nga expressed his gratitude to the teachers during his studying time in the school. He also promised to cooperate and invest more in improving the quality of the school's education and bringing the Wood Industry Education to the top of the region.

At the ceremony,  Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Van Dung – The President of the school had signed the cooperation contract with representatives of Thanh Thong Commercial Co., Ltd. which marked a new beginning between the school and the enterprise. At the same time,  Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Van Dung – The President of the school, Mr. Do Sy Nga - Director of Thanh Thong Co, Ltd. and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Truong Thinh - Dean of Mechanical Engineering Department cut the ribbon to open the Woodworking Machine Training Center. 

From now on, the Wood Industry has added new resources to help improve the quality of the school's training and the professional skills of the students. The representative of Thanh Thong Co., Ltd. also awarded 25 scholarships which were worth 2 millions to 25 students of Wood Industry with good academic achievements and disadvantaged circumstances in the hope that they always believed in learning so as not to let their teachers and society down.
