On November 4th, 2020, at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, the Office of Enterprise Relations held the "CONNECT FOR SUCCESS 2020" program with the participation of more than 40 enterprises. This was an opportunity to develop skills and allow final-year students to prepare to travel on their future career path after graduation.

Attending the ceremony, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Van Dung - President of the school, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngo Van Thuyen - President of the School Council, MA. Pham Huu Thai - Head of Enterprise Relations Department, MA. Duong Minh Hieu - Vice Head of Enterprise Relations Deparment, MA. Dang Ba Ngoan - Vice Head of Enterprise Relations Department and teachers who were representatives of departments, faculties, centers and students, especially final year students.

 

Connect for success was an annual program organized in a series of activities related to employment and enterprises such as "Job Fair", "Golden Week of Recruitment", etc. with the aim of letting students, especially final-year students, be interviewed directly, learn, approach the business environment and have appropriate career orientation. In addition, the students would be consulted about working skills in the business environment as well as suitable positions that companies were recruiting.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr Do Van Dung shared that with the 10-20-70 model, students in Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education would spend most of their time (70%) in practical learning to mainly solve problems given by the enterprise or learning at the enterprise.

 

In addition to developing a new learning model, on the occasion of the ceremony, the university signed a memorandum of cooperation with three enterprises: Association of Certified Public Accountants (ACCA), AM NOTE Company Limited (Vietnam). , SIAM CITY CEMENT Co., Ltd with the aims of expanding cooperation between the school and enterprises, strengthening joint-training activities, researching, transferring technology and organizing business semesters.

"Connect For Success" 2020 opened great opportunities for students in the school to interact with businesses, shortened the gap between UTE students and employers, helped students feel confident and know more about employment in reality. In addition, it introduced students to career opportunities, answered their questions as well as let them receive enthusiastic advice from businesses. At the same time, it gave students developmental directions in the future.

The program was a proof to the fact that students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education had always received great attention and appreciation from enterprises. "Connect for Success" ended in accordance with its meaning and mission. It brought students closer to the business, connected "skilled-and-knowledgeable" candidates with employers in order to provide efficient and high-quality human resources for society.
