On the afternoon of November 8th, 2020, at the Viet Duc Ground of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, there was a program to welcome new students called HCMUTE Youth Festival 2020 - Theme: "Fly out of the world" with the participation thousands of college students.

The program was a series of activities to celebrate the 6th Congress of the Student Union of Ho Chi Minh City (2020 - 2023), the 22-year establishment anniversary of the Student Association in Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (1998 - 2020), and the 58th establishment anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology Education (October 5th, 1952 - October 5th, 2020). This was also an opportunity for students of HCMC University of Technology and Education to learn and exchange between clubs, teams, groups under the Student Union.

Overview of the ceremony

Attending this year's ceremony, on the side of the school, there were: Assoc.Prof. Dr. Do Van Dung - Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the school, PhD. Tran Thanh Thuong - Head of The Office of Admissions and Student Affairs, teachers from departments, faculties and centers as well as other comrades who were Union officers of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education. On the guest side, there were the presences of Mr. Vo Quoc Cuong - Representative of Tra Duong Rymax Import and Export Trading Co., Ltd. - the program sponsor, and thousands of university students.

Opening the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Van Dung - President of HCMC University of Technology and Education shared with students the importance of defining goals and planning specific study methods in a university environment to achieve a good result. At the same time, he emphasized that learning foreign languages was not only a necessary condition for each student in the learning process, but also the key for employment in the future.
