On June 10, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) held a warm and friendly gathering with reporters and editors from various press and media agencies to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2025). This event was not only an occasion to express gratitude to journalists who have accompanied the university on its journey of spreading knowledge and humanistic values but also an opportunity to strengthen the media partnership between HCMUTE and press agencies for future development.

 


HCMUTE celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day, June 21

Attending the event on behalf of HCMUTE Party Committee and Board of Rectors were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University; Dr. Quach Thanh Hai – Member of the Party Committee, Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh – Member of the Party Committee, Vice Rector; along with leaders from the Office of Communications, Office of Academic Affairs, Office of Admissions and Student Affairs, Office of Organization and Administration, and the Journal of Technical Education Science.

 

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of HCMUTE – extended his sincere congratulations and appreciation to journalists, reporters, and editors who have always supported and accompanied the university in educational communications. He expressed deep respect for the pivotal role of revolutionary journalism in spreading positive images, accurate information, and meaningful values from the higher education environment to society. He also expressed his belief that in the journey ahead, there will be continued close and effective cooperation between HCMUTE and media agencies, working together to contribute to the development of high-quality human resources and serving the cause of education and national development.

As a leading application-oriented university in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education always values the companionship of press and media agencies, which have significantly contributed to enhancing the university’s academic reputation, humanistic values, and outstanding achievements in training, scientific research, and innovation within the community. Especially, HCMUTE’s recent designation as a national key institution in engineering and technology further affirms its position, capacity, and development vision within Vietnam’s higher education system.

 

Throughout its development journey, the press has not only served as a bridge connecting the university with learners and the public but has also provided practical feedback channels to help educational policies become more aligned with real-life needs. Dedicated journalistic works by reporters, editors, technicians, and journalists have played and continue to play an essential role in shaping the image of HCMUTE — a university rich in the identity of “Humanity – Innovation – Integration,” meeting the demands of developing high-quality human resources in the new era.
