On the evening of June 5, 2025, the Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) held the 2025 Commendation Ceremony for Outstanding Youths Following President Ho Chi Minh’s Teachings.

This meaningful event was organized to commemorate two significant milestones: the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025) and the 114th anniversary of his departure to find a path for national salvation (June 5, 1911 – June 5, 2025). The ceremony also highlighted the pioneering and exemplary spirit of HCMUTE’s youth in studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle.

Representing the HCMUTE Party Committee and University leadership at the event were Dr. Quach Thanh Hai, Party Committee member and Vice President of HCMUTE, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh, Party Committee member and Vice President of HCMUTE.

The title “Outstanding Youth Following President Ho Chi Minh’s Teachings” is one of the most prestigious honors awarded annually by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. It serves to promptly recognize, encourage, and spread positive values among students and young officials, both within the university and across the broader community. It is also an important criterion in nurturing exemplary youth members, with the long-term goal of introducing them for consideration for Party membership.

At the ceremony, 58 individuals were awarded certificates recognizing them as “Outstanding Youths Following President Ho Chi Minh’s Teachings in 2025,” with 52 exemplary individuals receiving special commendations for their outstanding contributions.

The program provided an opportunity to reflect on the dedication and growth of HCMUTE’s young generation over the past year. More importantly, it inspired continued commitment to following President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings among union members and young people, contributing to the sustainable development of HCMUTE along the orientation of “Humanity – Creativity – Integration.”
