On the afternoon of May 16, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) held a ceremony to receive a donation and inaugurate the Toshiba VRF SMMS Series and Carrier Multi, Split air conditioning systems. The system, valued at nearly 250 million VND, was sponsored by Carrier Vietnam Co., Ltd., with an additional installation package, refrigerant gas, and piping system worth nearly 70 million VND provided by HIREE Engineering Co., Ltd.
The VRF system (SMMS series) and Multi system (IMS series) from Carrier Toshiba are next-generation commercial and residential air conditioning solutions. They allow a single outdoor unit to connect to multiple indoor units, making them suitable for both residential and commercial buildings. The indoor units come in various forms—single-direction, four-way cassette, ducted, and wall-mounted—adapting to different spaces. The systems incorporate advanced technologies such as five-module connection, up to 120HP capacity, PM2.5 filtration, motion sensors, and provide a modern cooling experience. Additionally, Carrier Toshiba offers software for detailed system operation diagnostics, allowing students to visually observe performance metrics and troubleshoot like professional engineers.
