From December 21 to December 22, at University of Water Resources (Hanoi), the Ministry of Education and Training organized the " National Start-up Festival for students in 2020". There were activities to exchange and connect between businesses with new and unique projects. It was an occasion to display start-up ideas of students across the country.

SV-STARTUP 2020, which was a part of the festival, was held nationwide. The contest was a practical and rewarding playground to let enterprises know about creative and unique projects of students and improve the spirit of "experience for succeed" as well as investment of enterprises.

There were 72 projects got in the final round of the contest. 50 projects were in the university sector, and 22 projects were in the Department of Education and Training. The final round consisted of 2 stages (from 18/12 to 19/12 at the HCMC University of Technology and Education). In the 1st stage, judges scored directly at the booths. In the 2nd stage, the groups presented their projects to the judges. 02 groups of HCMUTE students won the first prize and third prize of the competition. This was an achievement that was worthy of the efforts of these students.

The group of "HCMUTE" students won the first prize in student sector with the project “Agricultural-waste - Resources for packaging paper”. The prize consisted of 60 millions VND in cash and a training and implementation support package with the value of 115 millions VND. In addition, there was an opportunity to negotiate and receive an investment of 40,000 USD.

The third prize of student sector went to HCMC University of Technology and Education again with the project:  “Construction materials made from plastic waste” of "Pando" group. The prize was 20 millions VND in cash.
The contest had brought a helpful playground for students all over the country to show their creative inventions, experience real start-up environment, accumulate useful knowledge for learning as well as starting their business in the future.
