On the evening of December 19th, 2020, the Final Round of the Digital Race 2020 took place in Hanoi with the participation of 8 teams from leading universities in Vietnam. Through very captivating matches, Team Thor from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education excellently won the runner-up of the Digital Race 2020.
Season 4 of the Digital Race in 2020 had attracted nearly 1000 technology students from 40 universities in Vietnam and 8 universities in 8 countries around the world. This was an attractive technology playground annually held to create human resources to develop self-driving cars to build smart traffic and smart cities in the coming time.

University of Technology and Education was honored to have the participation of 2 teams in the final match: Team Thor and SPK-TWOLABS. These were excellent students from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Faculty of High-Quality Training. Although attending for the first time, they achieved extremely impressive results.

Teams went through matches on the formations which were simulated traffic situations such as traffic signs, overcoming obstacles on the road including shade and snow, changing lanes when encountering moving objects, giving way to pedestrians, etc. After nearly 2 hours of competition, the First prize belonged to Goodgame team (FPT University), the Second prize belonged to Team Thor from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education. 2 Third prizes for the Black Panther Team (FPT University) and LHP Team (University of Technology, VNU Ho Chi Minh City).

Team Thor from HCMC University of Technology and Education won the Second Prize with a reward of 15,000,000 VND and earned a paid internship at the Technology Department of FPT Corporation. 
Closing intensive matches, the competition inspired students with the spirit of discovery and learning, helping students who were passionate in technology explore inherent potentials and engage in mastering the future technology.

The Digital Race playground was not only a gathering place for popular technological trends such as AI, Big Data, Machine Learning, etc. but also a place for people to apply technology to solve practical problems for a better and smarter life.
