On the morning of May 21, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) had a meeting with Rajamangala University of Technology (RMUTL) to initiate their Exchange Staff Program. During the meeting, both institutions agreed on several key and practical aspects, including the development of content and requirements for the staff exchange program and discussions on collaborative activities in training, scientific research, and professional development.

This Exchange Staff Program will provide opportunities for staff from both universities to experience different work environments, enhance their professional skills, and learn from each other’s management and operational practices, thereby promoting deeper cooperation between HCMUTE and RMUTL. This initiative continues from HCMUTE’s previous effort, where two staff members were sent to RMUTL for study and experience exchange from November 19, 2023, to December 2, 2023, to ensure the exchange process achieves optimal results for both institutions.

Moreover, representatives from both universities explored opportunities for collaboration on joint research projects, organizing international scientific workshops, and short-term training programs aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of both faculty and students. These initiatives will not only enhance the quality of education but also strengthen the bond between HCMUTE and RMUTL, paving the way for numerous long-term and sustainable cooperation opportunities in the future, both between the two universities and with other prestigious international institutions.

RMUTL is one of the nine universities in the Rajamangala University of Technology (RMUT) system, a large-scale network of universities across Thailand. Established with the goal of providing high-quality education and training in technology and engineering, RMUTL aims to equip students with practical skills and knowledge to meet the demands of both the domestic and international job markets. In recent years, many universities within the RMUT system have also established cooperation agreements with major universities in Vietnam and the region.
