On June 14–15, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) solemnly held its June 2025 Graduation Ceremony for doctoral candidates, master’s students, and both full-time and part-time undergraduate students (graduation cohorts of January and April 2025).

The ceremony was honored by the attendance of Dr. Quach Thanh Hai – Vice President of HCMUTE; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh – Vice President of HCMUTE; leaders of the Academic Affairs Office, the Office of Cooperation and Academic Development, along with representatives of faculties and departments with graduating students.


Delivering the opening remarks, HCMUTE’s leadership extended heartfelt congratulations to the new Doctors, Masters, Engineers, Architects, and Bachelors who had successfully completed their demanding academic journeys. “Today, in this familiar yet solemn auditorium, we gather to witness a milestone moment—the graduation of over 2,000 students and scholars who have completed their studies at this university, home to more than six decades of educational tradition. This is not merely the conclusion of an academic chapter, but the beginning of a greater journey ahead, filled with new challenges and new successes. Wherever your path leads, I believe that the values instilled here—knowledge, skills, professional ethics, and the noble traditions of our nation—will guide you. Be confident and proud, for you are now part of the ever-growing HCMUTE alumni community, with hundreds of thousands of members contributing to key industries. From this day forward, you officially join this strong and supportive network. And always remember—this university is not just where you studied; it is your second home, always ready to welcome you back—whether as a leader, a partner, a lecturer, or simply as a proud graduate of this institution,” the university representative emphasized.
In this graduation batch, HCMUTE conferred degrees upon 3 new Doctors, 83 new Masters, and 1,840 new Engineers, Architects, and Bachelors. Notably, 146 students graduated ahead of schedule.
Regarding academic performance, 19 students (1.03%) graduated with Excellent honors, 281 students (15.27%) with Good honors, 1,530 students (83.15%) with Fair honors, and 10 students (0.54%) with Average results—bringing the proportion of graduates with Fair honors or higher to 99.64%. These figures reflect both the quality of HCMUTE’s academic programs and the tireless efforts of its students.
For part-time programs, 155 students graduated in the March 2025 cohort, with 141 students (90.96%) earning Fair honors, and 7 students each (4.52%) receiving Average-Fair and Average honors.


These impressive results highlight HCMUTE’s ongoing transformation and progress. Under the theme “University Governance Innovation and Global Integration” for the 2024–2025 academic year, the university has completed its digital governance system; significantly enhanced its facilities and laboratories; expanded partnerships with businesses; promoted applied research; and successfully completed the project for establishing a branch campus in Binh Phuoc province, expected to launch in the 2025–2026 academic year. Additionally, HCMUTE has pursued numerous projects in education, scientific research, and academic exchange with prestigious universities and organizations worldwide.


With over 62 years of establishment and development, HCMUTE has affirmed its status as a leading institution in Vietnam’s higher education landscape, particularly in the southern region. The university currently offers 51 full-time undergraduate programs across 49 disciplines, 25 part-time programs, 15 distance education programs, 10 international joint undergraduate programs, 17 master’s programs, and 7 doctoral programs, serving more than 30,000 students.
Moreover, 35 of HCMUTE’s programs have been accredited by Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training and the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA). The university continues to expand its English-taught offerings and international joint programs, supporting students in their global integration journey.
