With the aim of facilitating learning, research, and recognizing outstanding academic achievements, a Scholarship Award Ceremony for the academic year 2023 - 2024 was held on January 17, 2024, at Meeting Room I of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education. During this ceremony, PTSC presented scholarships worth 450 million Vietnamese Dong to students of the University.
Representatives from PTSC included Mr. Tran Hoai Nam - Deputy General Director, Mr. Do Huy The - Head of Human Resources Organization Department, Mrs. Dao Thi Nga - Deputy Head of Human Resources Organization Department, Mr. Tran Minh Manh - Deputy Director of PTSC M&C Company, and Mr. Nguyen Van Duong - Deputy Director of POS Company. HCMUTE was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang - Acting President of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le My Ha - Vice Dean of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Son Minh - Vice Dean of Mechanical Engineering Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Minh Nhut - Deputy Head of Thermodynamics Department, Mr. Duong Tuan Tung - Deputy Head of International Training Department, Mr. Pham Huu Thai - Head of Enterprise Relations Office, and Ms. Le Phan Nhat Hang - Deputy Head of Enterprise Relations Office, alongside esteemed teachers and students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education.
The scholarships, named "Trust," symbolize PTSC's commitment to supporting HCMUTE students. Students are encouraged to apply for these scholarships annually and undergo comprehensive evaluations covering various aspects such as academic performance, English proficiency, communication skills, confidence, planning abilities, industry knowledge, and soft skills. PTSC selects the top 20 outstanding students to receive the scholarships, which not only offer financial assistance but also provide internship and employment opportunities within the corporation.
During the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Le Hieu Giang expressed gratitude to PTSC for their support, emphasizing the University's dedication to enhancing educational quality and fostering student success. Mr. Tran Hoai Nam, representing PTSC, highlighted the significant contributions of former HCMUTE students to the corporation's growth, reaffirming PTSC's trust in the University's education quality and graduates' capabilities.
Student representative Do Van Truong from the Department of Mechanical Engineering conveyed his appreciation for the scholarship, pledging to utilize it effectively and contribute positively to the community.
Both sides expressed their commitment to further collaboration, aiming to integrate various activities into joint plans to benefit the development of both the University and the Corporation.
