From July 19 to 21, 2024, the faculty and staff of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) took part in the Green Summer Campaign in Quang Truc Commune, Tuy Duc District, Dak Nong Province.

The delegation, composed of faculty and staff, worked alongside volunteer teams stationed in Quang Truc Commune. For nearly 20 years, HCMUTE has supported local communities in border areas like Tuy Duc District, Dak Nong Province, through various initiatives such as the Spring of Love and Green Summer campaigns.


In 2024, HCMUTE sent two dedicated volunteer teams to Quang Truc Commune. These teams, comprising students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering & International Training and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering & Foreign Languages, participated in the Green Summer Campaign alongside the faculty and staff delegation.

Over the course of the three-day campaign, the faculty and staff delegation accomplished several tasks:

● Partnering with the volunteer team to install solar-powered streetlights and national flags along the Bon Bu Prang 2 road (a border route between Vietnam and Cambodia), covering a distance of 1,500 meters.
● Donating 10 social welfare packages to underprivileged residents and those who have contributed to the revolution.
● Providing 10 gifts to orphaned children.
● Donating books and educational materials to children at Bu Prang Junior High School Library.
● Organizing community activities, including interactions with local residents and youth, and a children’s festival.
● Conducting road cleanup activities and paying tribute to fallen heroes.
