On the evening of October 1, 2023, HCMUTE organized the " Youth Festival" concert to welcome students of 2023 class, with the participation of more than 3000 freshmen.

The HCMUTE Gala to welcome freshmen is an annual program held at the beginning of the new academic year, serving as a gift for the "new recruits" – students of the 2023 cohort at HCMUTE. Dr. Truong Thi Hien, vice-president of HCMUTE, performed the traditional fire-lighting ceremony to welcome the freshmen. The flame, passed down through generations at HCMUTE, will continue to nurture the dreams of university life, becoming increasingly vibrant and contributing to the image of HCMUTE students within the community and society.

Amidst the lively musical atmosphere, HCMUTE's freshmen had the opportunity to connect, come closer together, and strengthen their sense of unity. From there, they were ready to officially embark on the upcoming journey – a journey to spread youthful energy, conquer dreams ahead, and become useful citizens for society.
