During the past week, from September 5th to 8th, 2023, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) organized the Orientation Week for the new students of the 2023 academic year.
At the orientation session, freshmen were briefed on the university's regulations, tuition fees, program details, and more. Many students enthusiastically participated, posing questions to the faculty not only about academics but also seeking advice on time management, teamwork skills, financial planning, cost-saving techniques, accommodation matters, and other related concerns. Additionally, the faculty shared insights to alert students who are studying away from home to be cautious of scams, fraud, and distractions that might affect their studies.
Furthermore, the university conducted an online session on September 8, 2023. The live session was broadcasted on UTE-TV and the university's Admission & Student Affairs fanpage. It aimed to provide additional information and guidance to new students on various topics, including introducing business relationship activities, guiding students on participating in corporate exchange activities, essential skills, job fairs, utilizing university services, library resources, fee regulations, scholarship information, health care services, and English language requirements. The session also covered foreign language courses and offered solutions to ensure language proficiency upon graduation.
In addition to the university-wide activities, individual faculties and departments organized separate sessions to help new students familiarize themselves with their academic environment.
