After months of various activities, the final of Miss Vietnam 2018 took place with the presence of 43 outstanding beauties from many different areas all over Vietnam, and the coveted crown was eventually awarded to 18-year-old Tran Tieu Vy—a Business Administration freshman in the joint program between the University of Sunderland and HCMUTE.
Having trained and gone through many rounds for 3 months, 43 talented candidates made remarkable progress in their performance and completely transformed.
The final night included elimination rounds which were nerve-wracking and exciting at the same time with the crown offered to the youngest contestant from Hoi An (Quang Nam)—Tran Tieu Vy, who is currently a business administration student in the joint program between HCMUTE and the University of Sunderland (the U.K.).
A world apart from her red carpet appearance, Tran Tieu Vy sported a simple outfit of t-shirt and jeans on her first day at uni.
Also on that day, the new Miss Vietnam was offered a scholarship of 600 million dong by the University of Sunderland and the TMC Academy, which would cover all her tuition for three years in Vietnam and tuition and living costs at the University of Sunderland in Britain for her final year.
This scholarship was not only to promote the joint program but also to assist Tieu Vy in her charity activities.
