On the morning of August 7, 2025, at Meeting Room I, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) welcomed and held a working session with the delegation from the People’s Police University (PPU). The meeting served as an opportunity for the two institutions to exchange and share experiences in training, particularly in applying information technology and developing smart digital classroom models.
The delegation from the People’s Police University was led by Colonel, Dr. Tran Xuan Tan – Vice President, along with leaders from various specialized units, including the Office of Training and Advanced Training Management, the Office of Quality Assurance, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Criminal Police, the Faculty of Administrative Management of Social Order, the Faculty of Armed Police, the Faculty of Criminal Engineering, the Faculty of Basic Professional Training, the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Informatics, the Office of Scientific Research Management, the Logistics Office, the Archives and Library Office, and the Faculty of Political Theory & Social Sciences and Humanities.


On behalf of HCMUTE, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh – Party Committee Member, Vice President, together with leaders of offices, faculties, and centers such as the Office of Academic Affairs, the Center for Digital Learning, the Faculty of Politics and Law, the Faculty of Applied Sciences, the Library, the Office of Testing and Quality Assurance, the Office of Communications, and the Computer Information Center attended the session.
At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh – Vice President of HCMUTE affirmed:
“In recent years, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education has always placed great emphasis on fostering comprehensive cooperation with partner institutions, particularly in the fields of education and training, digital transformation, and scientific research. We see this as a valuable opportunity to share strengths, leverage resources, develop management and faculty capacity, and provide practical and effective support for learners.”

Colonel, Dr. Tran Xuan Tan – Vice President of the People’s Police University, shared:
“With nearly 50 years of establishment and development, the People’s Police University is proud to have trained thousands of officers with firm political will, solid legal knowledge, and proficient professional skills. The university always upholds the spirit of solidarity, dedication, and creativity in education and research. In the context of rapid digital transformation in education, we have proactively learned and adopted advanced models to enhance the application of information technology in teaching and management, gradually modernizing training activities to meet the demands of the era.”

The working session went beyond theoretical exchange, as the PPU delegation had the chance to experience firsthand modern educational technology models currently being implemented at HCMUTE. The delegation visited several highlight facilities, including:
Digital classrooms equipped with interactive devices supporting flexible, learner-centered teaching methods;
UTE TV Studio – a creative content space serving communication, teaching, and distance learning;
Smart library integrating academic search technology with open learning spaces;
Comprehensive digital management system supporting teaching, administration, and student services.
The visit not only provided valuable practical experiences but also opened new opportunities for in-depth professional collaboration between the two universities. Both sides expressed expectations to jointly implement programs for faculty capacity building, share digital learning resources, and conduct interdisciplinary research in fields such as law, information technology, and digital education. They also agreed to maintain close connections, regularly organize academic exchanges, share expertise, and accompany each other in the journey of innovation and modernization in education in the digital era.



In addition, the partnership between the two universities contributes to building an open education ecosystem – where advanced models can be shared, expanded, and adapted to the specific needs of each institution. Amid the nationwide digital transformation trend, the cooperation between HCMUTE and the People’s Police University is expected not only to benefit both universities but also to make a positive contribution to the development of higher education in Vietnam.
