Following the success of previous editions, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) continued to collaborate with the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Quang Ngai Province to organize the 3rd Quang Ngai Robotics Innovation Contest 2025 under the theme: "Quang Ngai Youth – Innovation in the New Era."

Final Round of the 3rd Quang Ngai Robotics Innovation Contest 2025
The contest took place from April 26 to 27, 2025, at the IEC Quang Ngai Multi-Purpose Stadium. This year’s event attracted 72 teams from 23 high schools and secondary schools across the province, with the participation of 275 students—demonstrating the growing scale and appeal of the program.
The 3rd Quang Ngai Robotics Innovation Contest has once again proven to be a valuable platform for science and technology. It helps ignite students’ passion for innovation while developing programming skills, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and exposure to modern technologies. It also promotes STEM education in general schools.
A notable highlight of this year’s contest was the focus on speed racing. Speed and stability became key factors, while direct confrontation between robots was limited—helping to prevent robot damage and ensuring smoother matches.

As a co-organizer, HCMUTE played a direct role in the technical aspects of the contest. The university also assigned a team of experienced lecturers and students to provide on-site technical consultation and support. Especially noteworthy was the scholarship awarded by HCMUTE—a 20-million-VND scholarship offered to any top-award-winning student who passes the university’s entrance exam and enrolls, aiming to encourage young talents passionate about technology.

Over its three seasons, the Quang Ngai Robotics Innovation Contest has clearly shown growth in both scale and quality. While the first two seasons (2023 and 2024) attracted more than 100 teams and over 400 high school students from 20 schools across the province, the 2025 edition saw a surge to 72 teams from 23 high schools and secondary schools with 275 students. This year also marked the first time secondary school students joined, highlighting the contest’s expanding influence in Quang Ngai.
After several intense rounds, the Organizing Committee awarded 16 prizes, including:
First Prize: Team CFF from Le Trung Dinh High School
Second Prize: Team MegaWave from Binh Son High School
Third Prize: Team Tech Warriors from Tra Bong High School and Team Megalodon from Binh Son High School
Along with 4 Consolation Prizes, 4 Creative Robot Awards, and 4 Style Robot Awards.
This year’s contest continued to receive generous support from major enterprises. Thien Tan Group and Viet San Mechanical Company were Diamond Sponsors, while Deo Ca Group, Quang Ngai Business Club in Ho Chi Minh City, Tan Tien Company, and many others were Gold Sponsors.
Thanks to thorough preparation, increasingly professional organization, and strong corporate sponsorship, the 3rd Quang Ngai Robotics Innovation Contest 2025 reaffirmed its credibility and quality. HCMUTE continues to play a pioneering role in supporting and empowering young generations passionate about science and technology, contributing to building a foundation and nurturing high-quality human resources for the future.
