With the goal of expanding networks, enhancing collaboration, leveraging each institution’s strengths, and improving training quality, on the afternoon of April 29, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
This event marked a significant milestone in expanding partnerships among domestic higher education institutions while also elevating the academic standing of both universities on the international stage. Through this cooperation, HCMUTE and TDTU aim to provide more opportunities for faculty and students to engage in comprehensive learning, research, and development within a diverse and high-quality academic environment.
In attendance from HCMUTE were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang – President of the University, Dr. Quach Thanh Hai – Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh – Vice President, along with leaders from various faculties, departments, and centers.
Representing TDTU were Dr. Tran Trong Dao – President, Dr. Vo Hoang Duy – Vice President, and other faculty, department, and center leaders.
At the beginning of the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang – President of HCMUTE – shared:
"Although TDTU is a young university, I am deeply impressed by its rapid development. Today's MOU signing marks a significant turning point in our cooperative relationship. We believe that with strong commitment and unity, HCMUTE and TDTU will not only support each other in training and scientific research but also contribute sustainable values to the community and society."

According to the MOU, HCMUTE and TDTU will comprehensively collaborate across multiple areas from 2025 to 2028. This includes faculty and expert exchanges, sharing of educational resources and facilities for training and research, co-developing and implementing interdisciplinary training programs and professional development initiatives—particularly in engineering, technology, and education. Additionally, the two universities will jointly conduct national and international research projects, organize conferences and seminars, share experiences in university governance, career orientation and entrepreneurship, corporate engagement, branding, and cultural and sports activities to foster a dynamic, innovative, and globally integrated academic environment.
