In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025), the Trade Union of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) successfully organized the 2025 Trade Union Art Performance Festival under the theme “Proudly Celebrating 50 Years of the Song of Victory.”
This year’s festival witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 500 trade union members from 31 affiliated unions, delivering unique and emotionally rich performances that were thoroughly prepared. The performances revolved around themes of praising the resilient revolutionary tradition of Vietnam, expressing love for the homeland, and embodying the aspiration to build and develop the nation in the new era.

Among the distinguished guests were Mr. Ho Nhu Duyen – Executive Committee Member of the Vietnam Education Union and Head of the Southern Representative Office; Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Oanh – Representative of the Propaganda Department, Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor. From HCMUTE, participants included Dr. Quách Thanh Hải – Vice Rector; Mr. Nguyen Nam Thang – President of the University’s Trade Union; members of the Trade Union Executive Committee; university staff, employees, and students.

In his opening speech, Trade Union President Nguyen Nam Thang expressed joy and pride in the historical April atmosphere of Ho Chi Minh City and the entire nation. He stated:
“HCMUTE joins in the vibrant spirit of the city, raising proud voices of the nation in commemoration of 50 years of reunification. Together, we express confidence and desire for a rising era of our people. This year’s festival sees a unique collaboration between students and trade union members from various faculties, creating a well-invested and impressive artistic playground. We sincerely thank the University Board and all departments for their ongoing support during the preparation process. The performances are like the most beautiful flowers blooming in the atmosphere of historic victory, fostering national pride among staff and students.”

The festival was warmly received by all trade union groups, presenting thoroughly rehearsed and emotionally powerful performances praising the Party, beloved President Ho Chi Minh, the country, and national traditions. Aiming to create a high-quality, university-wide cultural platform, the event succeeded in connecting all staff and employees through patriotism and national pride.
The 2025 festival featured 16 performances competing in two categories:
• Group A: Departments, offices, centers.
• Group B: Faculties and institutes managing students.

Duet by the Trade Union of Faculty of Political Science and Law
A panel of reputable and professional judges in the field of performing arts evaluated the performances, including:
• Singer Huynh Loi – Member of the HCMC Music Association
• Composer Nguyen Van Chung– Member of the HCMC Music Association
• Choreographer Doan Trinh – Member of the Executive Committee of HCMC Dance Artists Association
After a full day of performances, the jury awarded:
• 16 Program Awards (across both categories): A, B, C, and Consolation
• 50 Performance Awards: Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Consolation
The festival ended successfully with many remarkable and well-prepared performances rich in cultural identity, honoring past generations and continuing the mission of national development. This event also demonstrated the University's strong commitment to the spiritual well-being of its employees and fostering a productive working environment.
