On the afternoon of July 11, 2025, at Meeting Room 2 – Central Building, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) held a conference to restructure the Executive Committee of the university’s Alumni Association for the 2023–2028 term. The event aimed to complete the Association’s organizational structure to better meet operational needs and enhance the quality of alumni engagement with the university in the coming years.
The conference was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh – Vice President of HCMUTE, along with faculty leaders, office representatives, current members of the Alumni Association’s Executive Committee for the 2023–2028 term, and nominees for new committee positions.

Restructuring the Executive Committee of the Alumni Association – 2023–2028 Term
The conference was chaired by Mr. Duong Tan Cuong – President of the Alumni Association. In the opening session, Mr. Truong Dinh Nhon – Vice President of the Association, presented the midterm review report, highlighting key achievements and identifying areas for improvement to ensure the Association’s more effective operation.

After a period of serious, democratic, and procedural work, the conference held discussions and voting sessions, successfully reaching consensus on the restructuring of the Alumni Association’s Executive Committee for the 2023–2028 term. The specific outcomes are as follows:

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh – Vice President of HCMUTE – congratulated the newly elected members and expressed hope that the new team would uphold their responsibilities, spread the alumni spirit among the student community, and contribute to reinforcing the university’s brand and training quality.

Also at the conference, Mr. Truong Dinh Nhon – Vice President of the Association – outlined the future action plan, including:
Organizing connection and support activities for alumni
Collaborating with the university to host regular reunions and communication events
Raising funds for scholarships to support disadvantaged students
Acting as a bridge between alumni, the university, and businesses to create more collaboration, recruitment, and career-sharing opportunities
Maintaining and expanding the alumni network both domestically and internationally

During the discussion session, delegates actively contributed ideas to improve the effectiveness of the Association's operations. Many emphasized the need to strengthen communication about the Association’s activities, build a comprehensive alumni database, and learn from successful alumni network models at other universities.
Some delegates proposed organizing industry-specific forums to enable alumni to share professional experiences, thereby reinforcing the connection between the university and its alumni. Others highlighted the importance of closely linking alumni networks within faculties to form a strong core team for the university-level Alumni Association Executive Committee.
