On the morning of July 2, 2025, at Meeting Room III, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) held the Summary and Award Ceremony for the Preliminary Round of the 2025 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest. The event aimed to review the organization of the contest's preliminary round at the university, commend outstanding submissions, and select the most notable entries to advance to the national final round.

The event was attended by Dr. Quach Thanh Hai – Vice Rector of HCMUTE, Dr. Tran Thanh Thuong – Head of Admissions and Student Affairs Office, MSc. Bui Thi Lan – Acting Director of the Library and Head of the Contest Organizing Committee, members of the judging panel, representatives of the Youth Union – Student Association, award-winning contestants, and students interested in the competition.
To open the event, MA. Bui Thi Lan delivered a summary report on the implementation of the preliminary round at HCMUTE. The contest was launched on March 12, 2025, and submissions were accepted until June 15, 2025. A total of 25 entries were submitted: 1 in video format, 1 handwritten, and 23 typed. She also shared details about adjusting the prize structure to better suit the situation and congratulated the students who received awards at the university level.

During the ceremony, the University Youth Union also announced the Commendation Decision and presented Certificates of Merit to the award-winning contestants, recognizing their efforts and outstanding achievements, as well as encouraging a stronger reading culture within the student community.
According to the results, the judging panel selected 16 outstanding students to receive awards, including:
1 First Prize
2 Second Prizes
3 Third Prizes
10 Consolation Prizes
The First Prize was awarded to Nguyen Thi Thuy Duyen, a third-year English Language student, whose emotionally rich and persuasive submission stood out.

In their remarks, the judges highly praised the quality of submissions and the students’ passion for literature. Many entries deeply moved the panel during the grading process – a significant achievement for the students beyond the awards themselves.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Quach Thanh Hai, Vice President of HCMUTE, expressed his emotions and pride in Gen Z students who continue to cherish books and nurture their literary sensibilities through reading. He expressed hope that the contest would continue to grow and help discover more reading ambassadors within the HCMUTE community.

To conclude the program, the organizing committee selected the top 3 entries to represent HCMUTE at the national final round of the Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The national-level award ceremony is expected to take place at the end of October 2025 in Hoa Lu City, Ninh Binh Province.
