On the morning of March 29, 2025, the Faculty of Fashion and Tourism at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) hosted the 12th Golden Hands Competition 2025 under the theme "50 Years – The Great Spring Victory." This meaningful event serves as a platform to honor the skills, creativity, and passion of students in the fields of fashion, design, and applied arts.

This year's competition featured four main categories:

Complete Assembly and Bag Decoration

Ao Dai Collection Design

Souvenir Product Design Using Leather

Floral Decoration Talent Show

Each category not only provided students with opportunities to challenge themselves with specialized techniques but also encouraged them to express their creativity and individuality through their competition entries.

Showcasing Craftsmanship and Creativity

In the Complete Assembly and Bag Decoration category, teams designed and crafted unique tote bags, employing various innovative material processing techniques. These creations stood out with diverse forms and decoration styles, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and practicality.

The Ao Dai Collection Design category was a highlight of the competition, where teams expressed their admiration and appreciation for Vietnam’s traditional Ao Dai. The collections beautifully combined national cultural elements with modern design trends, resulting in artistic and innovative works.


In the Souvenir Product Design Using Leather category, contestants presented exquisite handcrafted products, from initial sketches to final creations. Each product told a unique story, reflecting the students' creative thinking and practical application skills in product design.

The Floral Decoration Talent Show captivated audiences with vibrant and emotionally rich floral arrangements. Contestants skillfully incorporated traditional Vietnamese flowers such as pink lotus, white lotus, and yellow chrysanthemums to create stunning floral artworks, conveying meaningful stories aligned with the competition's theme.

A Platform for Growth and Recognition

After intense and inspiring competition rounds, the 12th Golden Hands Competition concluded, leaving behind many memorable moments. More than just a contest, the event provided HCMUTE students with opportunities to enhance their skills, gain experience, and confidently pursue their passions.
