On March 5, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) officially received public assets from Binh Phuoc College in accordance with Decision No. 511/QD-BTC dated February 28, 2025, issued by the Ministry of Finance. This marks a significant milestone, not only advancing the establishment of HCMUTE's branch campus in Binh Phuoc but also expanding opportunities for higher education development in the region.

HCMUTE and Binh Phuoc College Sign Asset Transfer Agreement
The handover ceremony took place at the People’s Committee of Binh Phuoc Province. Attending the event on behalf of the provincial government were:
Tran Tuyet Minh – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee
Nguyen Duc Thanh – Deputy Director of the Department of Finance
Ly Thanh Tam – Director of the Department of Education and Training
Diep Truong Vu – Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment
Ngo Hong Khan – Acting Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dong Xoai City

The public asset transfer marks a crucial step in the establishment of HCMUTE’s branch campus in Binh Phuoc Province. This expansion not only broadens the university's educational network but also enhances the quality of education, addressing the demand for highly skilled human resources in the region and neighboring areas.
Binh Phuoc is experiencing rapid development, particularly in industrial and high-tech agricultural sectors. However, the demand for a highly qualified workforce remains a significant challenge. The establishment of an HCMUTE branch campus will enable the province to proactively train its workforce, improve competitiveness, attract investment, and boost local economic growth.
HCMUTE’s branch campus in Binh Phuoc is expected to bring substantial benefits to students, businesses, and the overall development of the province.
