On the morning of March 21, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) and the University of Salford (UK) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), reinforcing their commitment to international cooperation in education, research, and faculty and student exchanges.

The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both institutions. From HCMUTE, participants included Assoc.Prof.Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh – Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Nguyen Luan Vu – Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Quang Vang – Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Dr. Le Van Vinh – Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Chi Kien – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Dr. Tran Quang Tri – Vice Dean of the Faculty of International Education, and Mr. Nguyen Thoi – Deputy Head of the International Affairs Office.
Representing the University of Salford were Prof. David Greensmith - Associate Dean International for School of Science, Engineering and Environments, Dr. Simon Ireland - Senior Lecturer International Business, Ms. Nancy Cooke - Director of International Development, Ms. Jayne Langlands - Academic Quality Manager.
Recognizing their shared vision for academic excellence and innovation, the two universities discussed and formalized this collaboration through the MOU, establishing a framework for a sustainable partnership that will drive educational and research initiatives.
