On the morning of September 8, 2025, 51 disadvantaged students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) were given new study companions when they received 51 laptops donated by Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam Co., Ltd. (BGSW Vietnam). This meaningful initiative is part of BGSW Vietnam’s journey of spreading social responsibility across many universities in Ho Chi Minh City.

Representing HCMUTE at the event were:
MA. Nguyen Phuong Thuy – Deputy Head of the Office of Admissions and Student Affairs,
MA. Le Viet Tien – Deputy Head of the Office of Communication
MA. Nguyen Doan Xuan Truong – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union,
together with the students receiving support.
From the donor’s side, participants included:
Mr. Andre De Jong – Vice President and General Director of Bosch Vietnam,
Mr. Yuhu Xia – Vice President of Bosch Digital,
Mr. Duong Hoang Phuc – Finance, Internal Control & Facility Management Director of BGSW Vietnam,
Mr. Phan Thanh Hoang – Head of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of BGSW Vietnam,
as well as company managers and staff. The ceremony also welcomed faculty members and students from the University of Science (VNU-HCM) and the University of Information Technology (VNU-HCM).

Speaking at the event, Mr. Andre De Jong emphasized that education has always been a top priority in Bosch Vietnam’s social responsibility activities. Over the years, Bosch has continuously accompanied universities by investing in laboratories, providing modern equipment, and creating practical learning environments—contributing to the training of high-quality technical and technological human resources for the country.
Mr. Yuhu Xia shared his belief that these laptops are not only study tools but also gateways to creativity and future development. He expressed his hope that young students would make the most of this gift to access new knowledge, strengthen their digital skills, and turn their dreams into reality—becoming contributors to a smart and sustainable digital society.

Mr. Duong Hoang Phuc highlighted that laptops are more than just academic tools—they are keys to the digital world. He encouraged students to use them to actively access knowledge, enhance digital competence, and keep pace with global development. He also wished students good health and success in their studies.

HCMUTE’s Gratitude
On behalf of HCMUTE, MA. Nguyen Phuong Thuy expressed sincere thanks to Bosch Vietnam and the CSR team, noting that the gift is a great source of motivation for students to strive harder in their academic journey and self-development. She pointed out that the number of laptops donated this year increased compared to last year, reflecting Bosch’s growing care for HCMUTE students. She also expressed hope that this meaningful program would reach more universities, giving more young people the opportunity to pursue their dreams and personal growth.

Student Representative’s Speech
On behalf of the recipients, Do Van Hieu, a 2022 student in Computer Engineering Technology, expressed gratitude to BGSW Vietnam. He shared that the laptop is not only a study tool but also a companion in research and knowledge exploration. It provides great encouragement for students to study and train harder, aiming to become skilled engineers with social responsibility. He also shared his aspiration to one day contribute to Bosch.

Bosch Tour Experience
As part of the program, HCMUTE students had the opportunity to tour Bosch’s modern working environment, directly experiencing the creative and dynamic international corporate setting.
Each laptop donated carried not only material value but also faith and hope in the students’ academic journey. For HCMUTE students, these 51 laptops represent 51 new opportunities, strengthening their future paths in study and career.


In total, BGSW has donated 100 laptops to students from three universities: HCMUTE, University of Science (VNU-HCM), and University of Information Technology (VNU-HCM). This initiative is part of the project “CSR – Give Wings to Your Dream”, launched and implemented by BGSW Vietnam’s CSR team—a community of Boschlers committed to sharing and contributing practical values to society.
