On the afternoon of March 3, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) hosted the Orientation and Induction Program for the second cohort of 2024 master's and doctoral students at Meeting Room II.
The event was attended by Dr. Quach Thanh Hai – Vice President of HCMUTE, along with faculty leaders from various departments and institutes, representatives from the Office of Academic Affairs – Postgraduate Division, and the newly admitted postgraduate students.

Welcoming 195 New Master's and Doctoral Students
In his opening remarks, Dr. Quach Thanh Hai warmly welcomed the new students, announcing that 195 candidates had been admitted in this intake, including 27 doctoral students and 168 master's students. He emphasized that their enrollment marks an important milestone in their academic and research journeys at HCMUTE.

Dr. Quach Thanh Hai also shared an exciting update: On February 27, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 452/QĐ-TTg, approving the Higher Education and Teacher Training Institution Network Plan for 2021–2030, with a vision toward 2050. According to this plan, HCMUTE has been recognized as one of the top five leading public universities in engineering and technology, designated for future development into a key national institution. Alongside national and regional universities, HCMUTE will play a crucial role in training high-quality human resources, conducting cutting-edge research, and driving the nation’s digital transformation.
This prestigious recognition is built on three core strengths:
