On September 19th, Ministry of Education and Training cooperated with the National Traffic Safety Committee and Honda Vietnam to organize the launching ceremony “Students strictly comply with the law on traffic safety for the school year of 2020-2021” in HCMC and neighboring universities, departments of Education and Training.
At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Huu Do delivered the opening speech and launched the traffic safety project for the school year of 2020-2021. He emphasized that “Educating and training more than 23 million students to help them reach full development of morality, mind, body, beauty and sense of compliance to the law is the general task, in which, traffic safety education in the educational institutes is the main point. ”
On this occasion, Honda Vietnam awarded 1.000 high-quality helmets to students who attended the ceremony. This was also an activity of the “awarding 20,000 helmets” campaign named “Building future with Honda” of Honda Vietnam. It was carried out with the desire to increase the rate of people wearing high-quality helmets when transporting which raised the transportation safety awareness of people across the country."
Especially, at the launching ceremony, in order to make the goal of reducing traffic accidents come true, representatives of 5 Departments of Education and Training and 5 universities in the Southern region signed a commitment "Enhance the implementation of traffic safety education in schools in the school year of 2020-2021".
The launching ceremony of the project had been a great success with the determination to expand the scale and quality of traffic safety training for students in the country. The program was an opportunity for students to form habits and learn road safety skills to protect themselves and be a part of building a safe and civilized traffic in Vietnam.
