On July 2nd 2020, Deputy general director of Vingroup-Vo Quang Hue visited HCMUTE and had a meeting with students at Grand Hall of Block A

Mr. Vo Quang Hue, with 25 years working in BMW, returned Vietnam as General Director of Robert Bosch LLC Vietnam on February 1st 2008. Although he was near retirement age, Mr. Hue was offerer by Vingroup’s Chairman-Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong to join Vinfast project full of Vietnamese spirit due to his abundant and precious experience.

This was the first time he hosted a talk with students as the Deputy General Director of Vingroup as well as an alumni on automobile engineering in Germany.

In the meeting, he said that despite having held various positions in prominent foreign automobile manufacturers including BMW, Mr. Hue, with patriotism running deep in his veins, he insisted on making an own qualified product of Vietnam that serves Vietnamese’s interest. 

In addition, in the hope of inspiring the students, he shared the story of Vinfast about great efforts overcoming the struggles in car manufacturing process, which is a hi-tech product first time produced by a Vietnamese enterprise.

It was Mr. Hue’s talent, determination and consistency that led to Vinfast automobile’s market penetration within nearly 3 years to become a redoubtable competitor of foreign car imperials in Vietnam, which blew the students’ minds all along. Besides, in the future Vinfast will emphasize on eco-friendly electric automobile.

This was also an opportunity for the students to seek valuable advice from Mr. Hue in such a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere. As stated by Mr. Hue, engineering students had very big chances in Vingroup, especially the ones with good knowledge, social skills and foreign language.
