Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tan Dung and a group of associates from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education were honored with Bao Son award for their research on applying sublimation drying technology. This complex research had been carried out for 20 years on the most advanced drying technology. After being dried, the product maintained all its natural properties as in the original raw version. This could not be done by other methods. 

The project has been widely applied in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food technology and post-harvest technologies nationwide (Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Buon Ma Thuot, Hue, Quang Tri, Hanoi, Hai Phong, etc.) and South Asian countries (Cambodia, Laos).
The Bao Son Award was an award organized by Bao Son Education Fund of Bao Son Group in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training to honor the authors / group of authors for their inventions and scientific works that had great contributions and positive impacts on national socio-economic development, culture and people.  Bao Son award 2019 was worth 50,000 USD.
