On the morning of August 28th, 15 student teams enthusiastically competed at the final round of the Mitsubishi Eclectric Cup Automation Competition (MECA).
The final round of the Mitsubishi Electric Cup Automation (MECA) took place with the coordination between Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education. There were 15 teams participating in the final round.
Mitsubishi Electric Cup Automation (MECA) was first held by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (2007) in China with the desire to exchange and learn knowledge about science and technology among universities around the world. In 2020, the contest was held in Vietnam for the first time. Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education was trusted to be the host venue. With a meaningful goal and practicality, MECA promised to bring many development opportunities exclusively for Electrical and Electronics students as well as find talented engineers for the future.
The MECA 2020 trophy went to the DNA team (Huynh Nguyen Phuc Duy - Tran Thanh Nam) with the topic "Controlling the automatic screwdriver in Speed-Torque mode using SSCNET III network". The prize for the winner team includes MECA trophy with a certificate and 15 million VND.
Second prize belonged to Team Magic Arm (Nguyen Huu Phuc - Nguyen Tan An) and Team User's Manual (Le Minh Tho - Ho Si Quy). They received a certificate and 7 million VND. Teams DRC-Tur, DuNaTa, Mitsuism received the third prize, and the remaining 9 teams received Consolation prizes.
