On the morning of March 3, 2023, in order to extend the cooperation agreement between the University of Technology and Education of Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) and Griffith University (Australia), representatives of the two educational units signed a new agreement based on the principle of the old one signed on March 30, 2013. The new agreement will be developed in accordance with the nature of the era of digital transformation, the development of academic culture between the two institutions heading to the diversity and multidisciplinary in Higher education.
Attending the ceremony, there were the presences of Assoc.Prof. Sarah Todd (Global Vice President) and a representative from Griffith University's International Partner Relations Department on the side of Griffith University (Australia). On the side of HCMUTE, there were the presences: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang – Vice President in charge of the university; MSc. Pham Bach Duong – Head of International Affairs Office; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Dinh Nhon – In charge of the Faculty of High-Quality Training and representatives of relevant departments and divisions.
At the ceremony, representatives of the two institutions discussed issues that both sides should join hands to develop, including: Promoting academic cooperation at both faculty and student levels in academic research; Collaborative research and exchange of scientific articles; Supporting each other in the preparation and organization of seminars and conferences; Exchange of scholarly publications and other information; Cooperation in training projects for specific aspects; Creating opportunities for other forms of cooperation.
The continuous development of the cooperation agreement between Griffith University and HCMUTE aims to strengthen the comprehensive and long-term collaboration, promote the strengths of each party to support and complement each other. Both parties benefit from the common development of each unit. On the basis of the memorandum of understanding, the two units will coordinate to develop an annual cooperation plan within 5 years. Every year, both will jointly evaluate the implementation of collaborative activities carried out in the year and agree on a specific cooperation plan for the following year.
