To acknowledge and pay tribute to the positive values which have been brought to HCMUTE by business enterprises, thence, as a premise to promote a tighter, closer partnership between the University and enterprises, on October 1st, 2022, the University solemnly held “The 2022 meeting of loyal customers”.

 

In recent years, the market economy was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Fortunately, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education still received friendly support and help from enterprises, from their investment in facilities and teaching materials to constructing laboratories, financing educational funds,...contributing to the University’s mission of training and educating.

At the meeting, there was the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang - Acting Vice-President of the University, the leader of Enterprise Relation Office and delegates of 53 business enterprises.

At the meeting, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang - Acting Vice-President, on behalf of the University’s Administration and lecturers, sincerely delivered the gratitude and appreciation towards the enterprises who have accompanied the University. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang also expressed the connection between the University and the enterprises which is highly essential, important to the University’s educational mission. It’s also important to the students when they have opportunities to study and practice on multiple new technological devices. It helps the students to bridge the gap between theories and practice. Mr. Giang also, on behalf of the University, whole-heartedly thanked the enterprises for their support and companionship all the whole time.

On the University’s part, the success of enterprise relations was listening to them, accepting their feedback about the positive and negative points of the training programs, in order to improve the programs and raise the training qualities. At the same time, being active in the relationship facilitated a stronger association.

In this discussion, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dung - President of the Vietnam E-commerce Association proposed the specific pathways for internship: “The University should change the time of internship for students in general and E-commercial students in particular, so as to meet the demands of enterprises nowadays.

As a representative of Bosch Vietnam, Mrs.Tran Thi Thu Tham (Head of Human Resources at Bosch Vietnam) shared special points about the strategic association between the company and the University: “Bosch has always appreciated  Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education as a strategic partner in the recent years, thanks to the openness and activeness in exchanging and associating from the University’s Administration, Faculties and the lecturers.

Within this discussion, Mr. Nguyen - delegate of Groz-Backert Vietnam, who is also a former student of HCMUTE Garment Technology, shared his points about improving English for students to respond to global demand. Mr. Do Si Nga - owner of Thanh Thong Co Lmt. is likewise a former student from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, gave his feedback in regard to the enterprises’ participation in teaching, thus could increase the chance for students to solve problems through practicing. This discussion received  practical and constructive criticism from enterprises, based on which the University could improve the quality of enterprise relations.
