The Post-Harvest Processing Technology Contest is held annually by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and The Youth Scientific and Technological Promotion Center in order to introduce and display research and products pertaining to food processing technology, preservation testing technology, and post-harvest processing technology. In addition, the competition provides a place for communicating, sharing, and learning from one another's experiences, as well as uncovering creative and ground-breaking products with practical applications, consequently alleviating pressing issues in the Vietnamese agriculture and food sectors today.
After two months of competition, 155 applicants from 12 institutions around the nation presented 55 ideas to professional and business councils. Product research project "Green banana sprout Penne" - HCMUTE has increased the nutritional content of Vietnamese green bananas, therefore helping to develop the value of Vietnamese agricultural goods and boosting the post-harvest economic worth of green bananas. Both domestic and international consumers will continue to welcome and have trust in the accomplishments that have arisen from a proper appreciation for the worth of Vietnamese agricultural commodities and an understanding of the hardships Vietnamese farmers confront.
