On the morning of March 1, 2025, at Meeting Room II of the university, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) officially launched Youth Month 2025 with the theme "HCMUTE Youth: Proud and Confident in Following the Party."

The event was attended by representatives from Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, including Ms. Dao Ngoc Bao Chau, an officer from the Propaganda and Foreign Affairs Committee, along with delegates from Linh Chieu Ward Police and Ho Chi Minh City Cadre Academy.


Representing HCMUTE were Dr. Quach Thanh Hai, Party Committee Member and Vice President of the university, and Dr. Nguyen Van Long Giang, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Party's Inspection Committee, and Dean of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering.

 


Inspiring Speech by the HCMUTE Youth Union Secretary


In his opening speech, Mr. Le Xuan Than, Secretary of HCMUTE Youth Union, emphasized:


"The theme ‘HCMUTE Youth: Proud and Confident in Following the Party’ is more than just a slogan—it is a commitment and a driving force for every Youth Union member to continuously learn, train, innovate, and contribute. HCMUTE takes pride in being the cradle of outstanding young talents, who not only excel in their expertise but also embody enthusiasm, pioneering spirit, and readiness to lead in all fields."


Meaningful Activities Throughout Youth Month 2025

 

HCMUTE Youth Union has set out a series of impactful initiatives aligned with this year’s theme, demonstrating creativity and active participation in the nation’s development era. Key activities include:


Studying and disseminating the Party’s resolutions, policies, and national laws.
Historical site visits and gratitude activities, including caring for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.
Generating 1,000 ideas and initiatives for Ho Chi Minh City’s development.
Engaging 8,000 youth members in volunteer activities.
Launching the online running event “HCMUTE RUNNING – WE RUN WE SHARE” to raise funds for underprivileged students.
Planting 100 trees and organizing the Green Sunday campaign.
Recruiting at least 90 new Youth Union members, with the goal of admitting one outstanding member into the Communist Party.

 


Strengthening Collaboration: HCMUTE Signs MOU with Linh Chieu Ward Police

 

A highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between HCMUTE and Linh Chieu Ward Police, reinforcing cooperation in ensuring security, order, and youth engagement in community service.

 

A Wide Range of Accompanying Events

 

To enrich Youth Month 2025, several concurrent activities were launched, including:


The "HCMUTE RUNNING 2025" online charity run to support disadvantaged students across Ho Chi Minh City.
The 2025 "Volunteer Ideas" competition, encouraging creative solutions for community service.
A digital transformation initiative, helping faculty, staff, and students install the "Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen" app.

A cyber safety talk show, titled “CyberShield: Secure & Aware”, providing skills on handling online threats, rumors, and cyberbullying.

 

A Youth Theory Club discussion on "The Party and Youth – Youth and the Party."

The second batch of Youth Union candidate training for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Volunteer Saturdays dedicated to environmental protection efforts.
Handover of the "Digitalization of Martyrs' Cemeteries" Project in Dong Thap province.
Planting 100 trees in Thu Duc City.
Collaborating with Saigon Green Club to clear waterways along Street 40, Linh Dong Ward, Thu Duc City.
Installing 15 solar-powered streetlights in Tang Nhon Phu B Ward.

A Key Milestone: The Digitalization of Martyrs' Cemeteries

 

A standout achievement of Youth Month 2025 was the inauguration of the "Digitalization of Martyrs' Cemeteries" project in Dong Thap Province. This project not only reflects the proactive and innovative spirit of HCMUTE youth but also showcases their adaptability and technological capabilities in an era of digital transformation.

 

The HCMUTE Youth Union and the Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union inaugurated the Youth Project "Digitalization of the Dong Thap Province Martyrs' Cemetery"

Their efforts will continue to inspire the broader community, reaffirming the significant role of youth in nation-building.
