From May 4 to 11, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang, President of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE), participated in the Manager Study Visit program at the University of Burgos (UBU), Spain, as part of the GreenEdAsia – Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education Project (2024–2027).

GreenEdAsia is an international initiative coordinated by HCMUTE, implemented in collaboration with key partners: HAMK University of Applied Sciences (Finland), University of Burgos (Spain), RMUTT and RMUTL (Thailand), and Dong Thap University (Vietnam). The project aims to enhance university governance capacity and promote sustainable education, with a particular focus on circular economy and renewable energy, by integrating green transition elements into academic programs, research, and institutional development strategies.
The Manager Study Visit is a core activity of the project, bringing together higher education leaders from Vietnam, Thailand, Spain, and Finland. It offers a platform for sharing experiences in university management, exchanging strategic visions in the context of globalization, and strengthening the nexus between Universities – Industry - Society.

During the visit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang represented HCMUTE in signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Burgos. This agreement marks a significant milestone in the expansion of international collaboration in education, research, and faculty–student exchange, and in the joint development of academic programs between HCMUTE and UBU.

This official visit by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang not only helps to elevate HCMUTE’s international profile, but also affirms the university’s pioneering role in advancing sustainable education and green transformation.
