On the morning of April 16, 2025, at Meeting Room II, the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) participated online in the “National Conference on Thoroughly Understanding and Implementing the Resolution of the 11th Plenary Session of the 13th Party Central Committee.”

Presiding over the conference at the central hub at Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly House, was General Secretary To Lam. Also in attendance were Politburo members including President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, among others. The conference was broadcast to over 21,000 locations nationwide, from central to provincial, district, and communal levels, with the participation of more than 1.5 million delegates.

At the HCMUTE hub, attendees included Ms. Truong Thi Hien – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the University Council; Dr. Le Hieu Giang – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector; members of the Party Committee’s Executive Board; the University’s Trade Union, the Youth Union – Student Association, and all Party members of the university’s Party Committee.

During the conference, Party members of the university listened to four important thematic presentations delivered by members of the Politburo, including the Prime Minister and the National Assembly Chairman. These presentations provided in-depth insights into the preparations for the upcoming 14th National Party Congress and the strategic orientations for national development in the new era. Among the key highlights was the draft resolution of the 14th Congress, which reaffirmed the determination to build a fast-growing, sustainable country oriented toward socialism, with a strong emphasis on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

Overall, the content of the conference conveyed a strong political commitment to reforming organizational structures, institutions, personnel, and operational methods to meet the demands of national development in the new era.

Organizing HCMUTE’s Party members and officials to attend this online conference held special significance, helping to unify awareness, ideology, and action within the university’s Party Committee. It also served as a foundation for each HCMUTE official and Party member—who are also educators—to continue upholding their sense of responsibility in building and modernizing education, constantly learning, and integrating with international education standards.

These foundations align with one of the major goals of the Conference: training and developing high-quality human resources to meet the demands of national industrialization and modernization. This also provides a platform for the university to continue effectively implementing teaching, research, and management activities in accordance with the resolutions discussed.

The conclusion of the conference affirmed the proactive and serious learning spirit of all HCMUTE officials and Party members. It was also an opportunity for them to reflect on and update the Party's latest policies and directions, thus fostering motivation for HCMUTE to continue fulfilling its educational mission—training, researching, and transferring knowledge to contribute to the nation’s high-quality human resource pool in this transformative era.
