On the evening of October 12, 2025, the HCMUTE Youth Festival 2025 gala night took place at the stadium of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) in a lively, youthful, and energetic atmosphere, attracting a large number of freshmen from the 2025 intake. This annual event serves as a warm welcome for the new generation of students, creating a space for connection, interaction, and an inspiring start to their academic journey at HCMUTE. Attending the event were Dr. Truong Thi Hien – Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the University Council; Dr. Quach Thanh Hai – Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh – Vice President; along with representatives from the Youth Union – Student Association, leaders of various departments, and numerous HCMUTE students.

In her opening speech, Dr. Truong Thi Hien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the University Council, extended congratulations on behalf of the university’s leadership to 7,543 freshmen who have successfully enrolled at HCMUTE. She expressed pride in the university’s continued position as one of Vietnam’s leading institutions in engineering and technology, with growing international reputation and influence. She emphasized that HCMUTE remains committed to building a modern, dynamic, and creative learning environment that enables students to develop comprehensively in knowledge, skills, and character.
Dr. Hien shared: “This moment marks the beginning of your journey of knowledge and ambition. Dare to dream, dare to challenge yourselves, and dare to step out of your comfort zones to explore who you are. The university will always accompany, support, and provide you with the best conditions to grow holistically—becoming confident and responsible global citizens.”

The HCMUTE Youth Festival is an annual event held at the start of each academic year, reflecting the university leadership’s care and enthusiasm for welcoming new students. This year’s program featured an energetic and interactive space filled with various student activities. Over 25 colorful booths from faculties, institutes, clubs, student teams, and corporate sponsors created a vibrant festival scene. Students participated in engaging games and challenges such as “Painting Youth Memories,” “Knowledge Quiz,” “Fitness Challenge,” “HCMUTE Check-in,” and “Coloring Memories.”
In addition to fun activities, the festival also included sessions promoting cultural exchange, soft skills development, and career orientation, helping freshmen quickly adapt to academic life and the university’s dynamic student community. Corporate partners including Jollibee, FPT Play, Ms Hoa IELTS Fighter, PMP English, OEG, and WESET English Center awarded meaningful “Wings of Dreams” scholarships to freshmen. These scholarships served not only as motivation but also as a testament to the strong partnership between businesses and HCMUTE in supporting students’ comprehensive growth and confidence in pursuing new goals in study and life.
