On the morning of August 21, 2023, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) organized the presentation of a STEM Lab classroom to Dong Ha High School (Quang Tri) with a total investment value of 150 million VND.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Le Thi Huong, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri Province; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education; Mrs. Ta Thi Thu Hien, Principal of Dong Ha High School, along with esteemed teachers from both institutions.
The STEM Lab project was implemented with the aim of establishing a foundation in terms of infrastructure and promoting opportunities for students to access STEM education locally, applying the knowledge they have acquired to projects in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This initiative aims to contribute to enhancing the skills, proficiency, and knowledge of students, providing them with a solid foundation for their personal development journey.
The project is executed through three main components: the provision of a Creative Space (STEM Lab classroom); training in teaching capabilities aligned with STEM education; and collaboration with and guidance for teachers at the school on the operation and development of the STEM program in the STEM Lab classroom.
