On the morning of August 20, 2023, in Hanoi, the final round of the Team Competition of the National Olympic Competition in the scientific subjects of Marx – Lenin and the Thoughts of Ho Chi Minh, "Light Illuminating the Path," took place for the fifth time in 2023. Four teams participated in the competition: Hanoi Youth Union, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Military Youth Union, and People's Police Youth Union. Representing the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, the team from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education (HCMUTE) excellently achieved the Second Prize in the competition.

The National Olympic Competition in the scientific subjects of Marx – Lenin and the Thoughts of Ho Chi Minh, "Light Illuminating the Path," in its fifth edition in 2023, was organized by the Central Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs, and the National Political Publishing House. The competition, held from May 2023, served as a platform to provide opportunities for the youth and members to exchange experiences and engage in learning about the scientific subjects of Marx – Lenin and the Thoughts of Ho Chi Minh. It aimed to apply the Marxist – Leninist ideology and Ho Chi Minh's thoughts in studying, working, and self-improvement.
