On January 13, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) held a working session with the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee to accelerate the establishment of the university’s branch campus in the province, in accordance with the policy approved by the Ministry of Education and Training.
The working session was attended by Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh – Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee, and Comrade Dang Ha Giang – Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office, representing Binh Phuoc Province. On behalf of HCMUTE, Comrade Truong Thi Hien – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the University Council, and Comrade Le Hieu Giang – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Acting President of the University, participated in the meeting.
During the session, both parties discussed in detail the implementation steps required to complete the establishment of the branch campus in Binh Phuoc as soon as possible to meet the province’s demand for high-quality human resource training. HCMUTE representatives affirmed their commitment to closely coordinate with the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee, expediting the completion of the necessary legal and technical procedures to put the branch campus into operation at the earliest possible time. This initiative is a key strategic mission for the university in the 2024–2030 period, contributing to regional workforce development.
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh expressed strong support for the project and pledged to create all favorable conditions for its swift implementation to serve the educational and training needs of the province.
The branch campus of HCMUTE in Binh Phuoc is expected to officially begin student admissions in 2025.
