On the afternoon of February 2, 2026, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Engineering (HCM-UTE), formerly Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, attended the GELEX Scholarship Award Ceremony organized by GELEX Group for students from universities in the southern region, including HCM-UTE and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.
The program concretized the cooperation agreement between GELEX Group and higher education institutions, including HCM-UTE, aiming to strengthen connections between enterprises and universities in education and training, student support, and the development of high-quality human resources to meet societal and industry demands.

Representing HCM-UTE at the event were Dr. Phan Gia Anh Vu – Head of the Faculty of Applied Sciences; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Ngoc Son – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Mr. Dang Ba Ngoan, M.A. – Deputy Head of the Office of Enterprises Relation; along with eight outstanding students who received scholarships.
In his remarks, a representative of GELEX Group shared the Group’s sustainable development orientation, identifying people as the core and education and training as the long-term foundation. The GELEX Scholarship Program not only provides financial support for students from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with excellent academic performance, but also demonstrates the company’s commitment to partnering with universities to encourage learning, scientific research, and innovation.
Representing HCM-UTE, Dr. Phan Gia Anh Vu emphasized the practical significance of the scholarship program and affirmed that the cooperation between the University and GELEX Group serves as an important bridge between higher education and industry practice, creating more opportunities for learning, hands-on experience, and career development for HCM-UTE students in the future.
Within the framework of the program, GELEX Group awarded GELEX “Chắp Cánh” Scholarships and GELEX Talent Scholarships to eight HCM-UTE students, with a total value of VND 105 million, recognizing their efforts in study and training as well as their perseverance in overcoming difficulties.

On behalf of the scholarship recipients, student Hoang Ngoc Dung from the Embedded Systems and IoT program, Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, expressed sincere gratitude for the support from GELEX Group and the University, and affirmed her determination to study diligently and actively participate in experiential activities, research, and internships to contribute to the community in the near future.
Following the award ceremony, HCM-UTE faculty members and students took part in a site visit to explore the working environment and production–business operations at the GELEX/CADIVI workplace. The visit provided students with a more practical understanding of enterprise operations, career orientation, and development opportunities in the industrial and technical sectors, while further strengthening university–industry linkage.
